July 3rd, at the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return, Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations (HKFOCA) held the 6th Board member inauguration ceremony at Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Present at the meeting were Chief Executive of HK Special Administrative Region Lin Zheng Yue e, Officer of Liaison Office Zhang Xiao ming, Deputy director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Xu You sheng, former Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese(ACFROC) Lin Jun etc. The participants are central leaders, Officials of the Special Administrative Region, National People’s Congress (NPC), Members of the national committee of CPPCC, Overseas Chinese Federations ect. the attendants at the meeting was averaged at about 300 persons.
Lin Zheng Yue e said she is with great pleasure to attend this meeting, excepted attended other celebrations of 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return with president Xi Jinping, this is the first activity after she took office, and appreciated the supports from overseas Chinese, she believes the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations(HKFOCA) will become increasingly better.
The aim of Overseas Chinese Associations is to connect the overseas Chinese of home and abroad, to protect our legal right, to contribute to the prosperity of our mother land. The Chairman of the board director Mr. Hon Kwok lung attended the directors inauguration.
