July 22nd 2017, in Kerry Hotel Hong Kong 「The 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland – 2017 Outsanding Hong Kongese Award」event co-sponsored by Global Overseas Chinese Associations, Outstanding Overseas Chinese Culture Promotion Society, China Academic Press, Outstanding Overseas Chinese Magzine. The event is in recognition of the outstanding overseas Chinese who made contributions to Hong Kong, to praise them for the positive effects that they brought for the past 20 years, including Tsang Hin-chi, the former Vice-Chancellor of Chinese University of Hong Kong Joseph Jao-Yiu Sung, Hon Kwok Lung and other political, business elites.
The Outstanding Hong Kongese 2017 philanthropist Award 2017 is aims to launch 《Outstanding Hong Kongese》and 《the series of Outstanding Hong Kongese》, the sponsoring organization selected the 20 participants from each of 「Meritorious character」「Excellent character」「philanthropist」, who were represented the 《The 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland – 2017 Outsanding Hong Kongese》, to praise them for all the contributions that they made for the past 20 years.
The organizer selected Hon Kwok Lung as the representative philanthropist in Hong Kong, praised him as he always been committed to social warfare undertaking, and he donated 200 million to the Charity Foundation. He ranked 14th Hoogewerf(Hu Run) Philanthropists Charts, who is outstanding Min-merchants and has the spirit of great love. And awarded Outstanding Hong Kongese 2017 philanthropist Award 2017.
